# Pareto Points & Referral Campaign

Vaultedge runs a points campaign to reward users who contribute capital, liquidity, and real protocol usage.\
During early phases, access to Vaultedge is controlled through referral codes to ensure sustainable growth and fair distribution.

### Access: Who Can Use Vaultedge

#### Without an access code

* You can only view the **homepage**

#### With an access code

* You can access the app and connect your wallet
* You only become an **active Vaultedge user** after interacting with Vaultedge smart contracts

### What Makes You an Active Vaultedge User

You become an **active Vaultedge user** once you perform **any onchain interaction** with Vaultedge, including:

* Depositing collateral and minting USDVE
* Depositing into the Stability Pool

Once active, you:

* Start earning points
* Unlock referral codes
* Can invite other users

### Referral Codes

#### When do I receive referral codes?

You receive referral codes **only after you become an active Vaultedge user**.

#### Code rules

* Each user initially receives **3 referral codes**
* Each code:
  * Can be used **only once**
  * **Expires after 7 days**

Codes are visible in the app under **Invite Friends**.

### Unlocking More Referral Codes

You can unlock additional referral codes in two ways:

#### 1. Activating a referral

If someone uses your referral code and becomes active by interacting onchain, you unlock:

* **+1 referral code**

#### 2. Reaching points milestones

You unlock **+1 referral code** every time you earn an additional:

* **1,000,000 points**

This is cumulative:

* 1,000,000 points → +1 code
* 2,000,000 points → +1 code
* 3,000,000 points → +1 code\
  …and so on.

### Referral Rewards: Earn 20% of Referred Users’ Points

When you refer another user:

* They earn **100% of their points**
* You earn **20% of all the points they earn**

This applies to:

* Onchain activity
* Liquidity provision
* Time-based points
* Any future point categories

> **Important:** Your bonus does **not** reduce the referred user’s points.

## Points Structure

Vaultedge points are earned through **time-based actions** (per day) and **one-time actions**.

## Examples

### Example 1: Depositing Collateral

You deposit **$5,000** worth of collateral and keep it deposited for **10 days**.

$5,000 × 10 points × 10 days = 500,000 points
```

### Example 2: Borrowing USDVE

You borrow **2,000 USDVE**.

```
2,000 × 500 points = 1,000,000 points
```

This is a **one-time reward**.

### Example 3: Borrowing from Multiple Markets

You borrow **1,000 USDVE** from **2 markets**.

```
1,000 × 500 × 1.5 = 750,000 points
```

### Example 4: Staking USDVE

You stake **3,000 USDVE** for **7 days**.

```
3,000 × 25 points × 7 days = 525,000 points
```

### Example 5: Providing Liquidity

You provide **$2,000** in USDVE liquidity for **14 days**.

```
2,000 × 15 points × 14 days = 420,000 points
```

### Example 6: Referral Rewards

You refer a user who earns **100,000 points**.

```
You earn: 20% × 100,000 = 20,000 points
```

Your referral keeps their full **100,000 points**.

### Example 7: Unlocking New Referral Codes

* Reach 10,000 points → +1 referral code
* Reach 20,000 points → +1 referral code
* A referred user becomes active → +1 referral code

### Important Notes

* Points are **non-transferable**
* Points are **not tokens**
* Points do **not guarantee future rewards**
* Campaign parameters may evolve to ensure fairness and protocol health
